Broke KDE doing "slapt-get --install qt"!
Im in a bit of a pickle! I have been trying to install "cheesetracker" audio program (very unsuccessfully!), and it gave me a bunch of compiling errors when it tried to compile its qt elements.
So, being a newbie, I thought "maybe I dont have qt, or something" and did a "slapt-get --install qt". Ooops, now I cant load KDE and get "Could not start kdeinit. Check your installation" message then drop back to the login screen and if (from fluxbox) I try to run KWrite or Konqueror, or other K things it says ":error while loading shared libraries: libXinerama.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" The qt thing was the only major installation I made (I think) so I assume it was this that broke it. Any ideas on what I could try? Thanks! |
Well, I have no idea what exactly I broke, but for reference it fixed itself when I upgraded XFree86.
