Spell out your words. And you posted a VERY similar question last year, but never bothered posting follow up/feedback, and marked the thread as SOLVED:
So, which version of Fedora are you using? Where, exactly, is it showing "that message", and when? The ONLY places to put IP address(es) would be in the network manager when you are setting up the connection...but you say that your service provider
needs to put the IP address in...which is confusing. And you are saying that you are connecting the 'broadband cable' to your laptop...WHICH cable, to what port, from what device?? Are you just plugging in an ethernet cable to your home router? Or are you needing to set up PPPoE to establish a DSL connection??
