Talking Brand Spankin' New

So, I've installed RedHat 9 text version on a server donated by my good friend who is also something of a linux nut... I want to install practical programs, and learn how to use things like VI and basically install stuff that makes me want to use it... I want to learn to administer linux etc... I want to rule the world in a short amount of time. I'd love some advice on what to install and how to install it...

Thanks!

Well, become a server admin. I suggest most popular serviced: BIND (for DNS), Postfix (for mail), ProFTPd (FTP server), maybe a database (MySQL?). They all have lots of documentations and mentioned many. many times here.
