bootup to gnome desktop
Lately when logging in as regular user gnome doesn"t load properly--I get a funny looking
screen with small windows containing big red Xs and an incomplete toolbar. I can shut down usinf ctrl-alt-F1 for a command prompt. Then I can log in as root which works OK. Does anybody know a simple fix? |
I think I might have screwed up the login permissions somehow when
I used "chmod -R 777 /home/username" on my home folder--anyway it is working OK since I deleted user account and created it again without the chmod command. |
