BOOTMANAGER on two harddisks

hi folks,

i would to install LINUX on my second hard disk (8GB)
The first disk (40GB) is used 4 win2Kserver on a NTFS partition.
I tried to install Mandrake with the bootmanager on the MBR partition. But i couldn't boot on any of the both OS.

Is there something special to configure for booting two OS on two different hard disks??

thanks for your quick answers

multi-boot

usually, linux bootloaders (LILO or GRUB) work fine with windoze, but I have heard of problems with win2k variants. if you're really desparate, you can install the boot loader into you linux primary (instead of the MBR) then use a boot disk (made during the install) to get to linux , at least until you find a real fix.
