Bootloader Question?

I just got RH9 up and running using GRUB as my bootloader. It's works fine but after I updated from RH's web page now I have a second RH option at startup. I have

1) Red Hat Linux (2.4.20.6)
2) Red Hat Linux (2.4.20.19-9)
3) Win2k

I've be running #2 assuming it's the updated ver. What is it?
can I get rid of the first one as an option, if so how?

Thank you.

yes all that is, is that you updated your kernel, so one of them is your older kernel and the other is the newely updated kernel...
in your /etc/grub.conf file you can remove the one you wish not to have appear in the menu.

two cents worth

I'm not big at Redhat but one is the old version and the other is the updated version. It does this in case the update doesn't work you can boot into the old version. The new appears to be 1) Red Hat Linux (2.4.20.6), and the old 2) Red Hat Linux (2.4.20.19-9). Those are Kernal version just look at the update and see which matches.
That's my opinion anyway. I would leave it for a while to make sure everything works then delete later. I'm not sure how in Redhat, sorry. At least you know what it is though.

:D :D :D
