bootloader lost!

Hi everyone,

I had a dual-boot system with RedHat 7.3 and WinXP Pro. I first installed Windows, then RedHat - no problem. Recently I had to reinstall my Windows (oh wonder...) and now the dual boot is gone
Is there any chance to get my RedHat back?
Thx, styler.

two options...

you may boot linux using a boot disk or cd-rom and

a) re-install de bootloader on the main partition using grub-install {dev/hda1} --ur Master Boot Record

b) install de bootloader on the /boot partition and make a copy of it to a floppy and the boot to windows and make windows NTLOADER boot linux for u...

i don't have much time right now....let me know which one u want to try....or someone else takeover....

It's probably not a good idea to install to /dev/hda1. That's where XP's booting stuff often is. Install to /dev/hda.
