Edit the file /boot/grub/menu.lst, toward the bottom of the file there are your grub boot options eg
[code]
title Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.8-2-386
root (hd0,1)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.8-2-386 root=/dev/hda2 ro vga=771
initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.8-2-386
savedefault
boot
[code]

there will be several, including one for you other os, simply put the one you want default at the top of the list above the others.

cadj that is too error prone for a newbie - the following should work for a normal grub install. Not sure if FC3 can be described as normal tho'
gachejad, find the line that says (probably)
Code:
default 0
The zero refers to the first "title" line that follows - the second title line will be "default 1" ... etc.
Simpy update the "default" line to point to your selection of choice.
