bootingand using rebooting disc

I have used suse 11.2 for some years but recently its gone into melt down
(A).On booting the desk top appears but accessing any thing usually results in a black screen Any suggestions ?
(B) I have auto booting disk for suse 11.4 and would like to be able to print from this given my system has its problems. Is there any way that i can access the existing driver data etc while using the auto boot data . ANY SUGGESTIONS.
(c ) Finally given that i have the file for suse 11.4 is it possible for me to down load the data to over ride the existing 11.2 data which may solve all my problems .
I would appreciate any suggestion but please as a novice and as a senior can you make any response as simple as you can . Best Wishes Ponty

Neither of those releases is supported any longer, see link below:

Install a newer version or depending upon your hardware, you made need another distribution.
