Booting Ubuntu without Hard Disk

Can I boot ubuntu usin a Live CD and RAM only if there is no Hard Disk in my laptop ?

If you want to use Linux without putting it onto the hard disk, it will be much quicker if you have it on USB memory than on a CD. You may also find it better to use a distro that is actually intended to be used in that way:
