Booting takes long time (linux machine)
Hi all ;
Recently i have seen one laptop. Host/Guest Operating system. OS version is : Oracle Enterprise linux 4.7 When booting the linux server , it takes atleast 20 - 30 mins. What was the problem ? How can i resolve it ? FYI : When installing linux os , they never allocated /boot area size. So i think space is not sufficient to boot linux machine. Please provide some relative info to resolve this problem. 1) can i increase /boot area size ? |
Is this what you want? http://www.oracle.com/us/technologie...iew/index.html

This is personal laptop issue. Only for learning purpose. As a linux user , how can i solve this problem ? Can i resize /boot area ? |
First, run
Code:
df -h Code:
fdisk -l Also, that is a very old distro (basically Oracle rebuild of RHEL, with the same version nums). See here for why http://www.redhat.com/security/updates/errata/ |
