booting off


Hi,
I hope someone can help!
I formatted my apple macbook pro and installed linux ubuntu. no partition.
now when i start the machine, it doesnt boot off. it just show a flashing folder with a question mark on it, i need to boot off the cd and then at the prompt, need to select boot off hard drivve..
And then all is fine.. i hope its clear, its doing my head in... lol

You need to change settings in the bios.
