Why are you posting everything in this forum? It'll be moved shortly. But pick the appropriate forum - if all else fails, post it in Linux Newbie or Linux General.

It just means to boot your machine. The first thing before your shell prompt is your bootloader prompt.

Code:

boot:
If you need to pass boot options, do so there.

cyberfox1234, out of curiosity - We have been having an increasing issue lately with people posting off-topic in the Website Questions & Suggestions forum. Is there anything we could have done to help you understand what this particular forum is meant for?

I realize "lately" was more than a year ago, but after I registered today, the forum list looked something like:

- Forums
- Website Questions & Suggestions

Only after I click Forums, I was able to find the other forums like Linux - Distributions. So this forum looked like the only subforum at first look. Could that be the reason?
