how can i find and destroy a boot sector virus while running linux off a livecd USB device virus unmounts my primary drive and dosn't allow cd boot am trying to maybe run antivirus remotely from another computer via ssh anyother idea's welcomed.
Tip for the future: There are keys with punctuation marks on your keyboard. If you use them it makes your posts much more readable, which in turn will make people give you better answers. If you don't make the effort to make your questions readable, why should we make the effort to answer?
In such situations (CD boot ineffective), I just remove the drive and stick it in an external casing and zero out the MBR boot code from another machine.
Plug it back in, and boot a recovery CD.
