Boot question and using DVD

How can I add knoppix myconfig=/mnt/hda1 to the boot: prompt so that it reads:

boot: knoppix myconfig/mnt/hda1 , and boots directly to the last saved configuration update without my having to type:

knoppix myconfig=/mnt/hda1 , every time?

Also if I want to burn knoppix or Linux to a DVD-RW-ROM and add the configs.tbz and knoppix.sh files how would I get the system to ... search ... for the knoppix.sh file when the system only allows me to save to floppy or any hard disk partition?

The beauty of putting Knoppix or Linux on such a CD is that there is NO possibility of ANY virus or Trojan writing to the DVD-ROM. If the config files are on the SAME DVD-ROM then you can also carry your configuration around to any other machine as long as the hardware is compatible.

This is something I have thought about for a long time as I think it might solve a LOT of virus/Trojan related problems and system crashes.

It would be very nice to see a Linux system that can power three vertical TFT screens which could be used as in-box/write screen, out-box read-screen and a third application-help screen, and/or put all three screen documents, side-by-side, on a large flat panel Plasma TV screen.

Is any of this possible:Pengy:

Thanks in advance for any help.

Pingue.
