boot problems

I gues I'll ask this here too. I tried installing the NVIDIA driver on FC3, but now it wont boot. My inittab is set to 5, I need it to 3 to fix the changes I made but it wont boot far enough to let me edit the file! HELP!

You can edit /etc/inittab from a rescue CD. Boot the rescue CD. Then create a directory and mount your root partition on the directory. For example:

mkdir /penguin
mount -t ext3 /dev/hda3 /penguin

Then edit /penguin/etc/inittab and replace the line
id:5:initdefault:
with the line
id:3:initdefault:

umount /penguin
