boot problem

I've made some changes to my kernel, using the kernel configurator on KDE. Everything seems alright, until I decided to reboot. on reboot, this message appeared on the screen:

loading linux......................

and my system stops after that, no disk activity thereafter.
I know my kernel won't boot (or perhaps my lilo?). But I can boot using my bootdisk. I've already tried "/sbin/lilo" to fix it, and still it won't work.

What's the best thing that I can do? Any advice to get my RedHat system up and running again without using my bootdisk?

I'm using 2.4.18-3 kernel.

Thanks.

You need to edit you lilo.conf file and undo those changes then! I just don't know where lilo.conf is. Probably /boot but that's just a guess for me. I use GRUB. Ride the GRUB!
