boot into non-X mode
Hi all,
I installed RHL 9.0 on my machine. Selected graphical login as default. I'm using this for hosting a site with Apache and MySQL. Now, I need to change the default login mode to text mode, not graphical mode. How do I do this?? I tried the "init 3" command but when the machine changes to runlevel 3, the MySQL and HTTPD services stop. Is there any way I can change the default login type to text mode as well as start HTTPD and MySQL? Is there any way I can change the boot mode from graphical to text and vice versa? Please let me know. |
In text mode, run ntsysv. Check httpd and mysql services.
Remember ntsysv set different services in graphical mode and text mode. If that does not help you, you can use /etc/rc.d/rc.local stuff. |
Works!
