Boot Floppies and USB Floppy Drives

Hi, I Plan on installing SuSE and WindowsXP (Dual boot) onto my system and Im concerned if I will be able to create and execute a boot floppy with a USB floppy drive. Will the USB floppy drive work the same way as a internal floppy drive. Will I be able to install grub etc with a USB floppy drive? Looking forward to replies, thanks.

It really depends on your computers bios. Newer computers should be able to but you need to enable booting from usb in the bios setup.

This is a case were you'll need to get a bit adventurous and test it out!

Well I'm trying to solve this problem out right now.

My BIOS detects my USB floppy no problem, but I can't find how my new Knoppix HD installation is assigning it in the /dev dir.

I continue to experiment .. any pointers would be helpful ..
