Boot Failure -- Error while booting
Hello,
I am using a dual boot system - debian and windows. Today when I tried to boot into debian, getting the following error: "Loading linux 2.6.32-5-686... error: Couldn't read file... loading initial ramdisk... error: you need to load the kernel first.. Press any key to continue" When I press any key, it is taking back to the boot options page again. Please let me know what I need to do to get my debian up again. -- Anji |
The problem is resolved, but not sure what i had done has actually resolved it.
Here is what i have done: Last week i added another hard disk and installed centos in it, the first hard disk has debian squeeze and windowsxp. Till yesterday it was working fine, but today when i tried to login debian it was giving error as shown in my previous post. I just logged in single user mode and ran the command 'update grub' and when i rebooted i could login as usual. Regards, Anji |
