boot errors??

Do I need exim? it tries to load at boot and complains about no config
I am not running any type of server or anything..I get my mail thru my isp: pop and smtp

ich2rom also tries to load at boot and returns fatal error: no device found

system appears to run fine....is there a log of the boot messages that scroll way to fast to read

'dmesg' helps you to read what is happening during boot process.
