Boot Disk Damaged
The boot disk used as the way to boot into Red Hat Linux has been damaged.
What are the steps to make a new boot disk? If this can be done at all? Thanks |
makebootdisk
just easy as that... well it worked in slackware in command mode a bluescreen pops up (not the bluescreen of death like in windows) and u just follow it... |
In mandrake (and most likely RedHat) the command for making bootable floppies is `mkbootdisk`. Check the documentation for it using man mkbootdisk--its pretty simple to use, but you have to be root to use it ( use su).
|
you can also use the 'mkrescue' command as root to create a rescue floppy
