Question Boot disk

I have just installed slackware linux 10.0. Every time that I start my computer I have to have a bootdisk in the floppy drive. I was wondering if there is anyway that I can boot the system without having to have a floppy or a cd bootdisk. Any help would be most appreciated.

I have never seen an installation of linux that required a boot disk. Slack usually installs lilo, and boots fine from a hard drive. Maybe your lilo is misconfigured, or you chose to use a boot disk during the distro install, and didn't configure a bootloader onto the MBR of the hard drive. I think issuing the command /sbin/lilo or maybe /sbin/lilo-config should get you going.

Peace,
