Boot CD from GRUB?
 
I have dual boot system - Win7pro, Ubuntu 11.04, installed Win7 1st. I need to boot from CD, but can't get past GRUB... ? Any help??

If the CD is written properly, and the CD is early in the boot chain (ahead of the hard drive) then grub never gets loaded.
If the CD boot works properly, grub is simply not involved unless it loads from and under control of the CD.
Your boot may be bypassing the CD, or not seeing the CD as bootable, and loading GRUB from the hard drive.
Fix or test the CD(perhaps by booting it on another machine), and check the BIOS setting (BOOT ORDER) on your machine, and you should be able to resolve this issue.

You could try to add a "chain load" from the CD device as a grub option
-- Just a guess but should work!
