Boot Cd and Fedora Install Problem. Please help me!
Hey all, I'm really new to linux and the like and already I'm having problems :P
First off, I backed up my hdd (win xp pro) onto dvd using nero. However, I heard it was necessary to have a boot disk. Is it? I googled this and found: http ://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;305595 I was wondering if someone could tell me if this is what I need and if not, please link me a site which does. The iso came as a winrar file, so I just burned it on - which is right yeah?
Secondly, I have burned fedora isos from linuxiso onto cd using nero 6 ultra edition. However, when I try to install fedora (the cd 1 is in the cd drive and cd is set to first boot in bios.) The only response I get is, "Boot Disk:" . I.e., it's not reading the cd. Can anyone tell me why - or how to get around it?
Thanks a lot
