books/ white papers for SuSe

Im a total Linux newbie. I'm in desperate need of a good newbie book for SuSe Linux. Im having alot of trouble doing the very basics or even trying to determine where to do the basics.

TIA, ChrisR

While this is likely not the answer your looking for, I would, if I were about to spend money on a book, plunk down my cash instead on a boxed SuSE set which, in my opinion, comes with some damn fine printed material.

The provided link is essential newb material - non distro specific mind you.

By the way, IIRC SuSE has a very comprensive browser based help system that links to howtos and the like - have you read these at all?

Most linux systems come with a lifetime's worth of info. Don't ignore it. There are some hidden gems all over the place.

I did a search for IIRC SuSe and some results came back. But Im still a bit confused as to what exactly it is?

Novell has the complete administration guide etc available as download from their site. You may have to create a login.
