You can start by not typing in huge fonts and shouting. Have you actually googled for the error message?
i have googled a lot.actually i have used a lot of methods
n suggestions from various websites like orelly linux dev center,
google groups,various LUGs,here LinuxQuestion n lot more.
but find no solution to problem.
but what i get to know this problem is very modem specific.
because when i connected dialup through my friends nokia phone.
it worked.but my samsung doesn't seem to work with Linux.
Here in INDIA ISP's are not providing support to Linux user.
so i m feeling very lonely and disturbed.dont know when problem
will be solved if at all.
antway thnx for repling n sorry for the mistake i made ,in future i will take care of using fonts when posting questions....................

You don't know how I said that? Did you read what I wrote? I went to the Samsung website, and it said it didn't have one. Since I don't, I have to go by that.
And did you read the page that I sent you in my original post? The one that had your exact error-message in it? Did you do what it told you?

i followed the steps according to the post suggested above also.
but same problem again......
i think this must be problem with most of samsung mobiles.
i connected thro usb cable also hoping wvdial may do some trick but
useless.one thing that i found strange is how windows can connect
successfully while linux can't . i also tried to give the same AT
commands as default windows did ,but phone went a reboot.
Dont know what is wrong and where
