One suggestion might be a squid proxy server.

Unhappy

i heard about squid alright, but i cannot digest it yet. or does it have a simple and quick tutorial on how to use squid?
i was able to check my linux system, and squid is running on it, just dont know the version. how did i know it? i typed squid,
then it said : Squid is already running! Process ID 7081.
It already has a configuration file on blocking sites(squid.conf), i just dont know why its not taking effect. Thanks!

In any web browser you have to enable the use of proxy servers.
