blocking ip address(es) on specific url

Hi All,

Please assist. I have a domain under the url of http://172.16.137.7:4811 but alot of users are trying to access this. Please assist on how I can set on who can only access the url by setting only specific ip address(es) who can access.

I saw a thread here on how to block an ip address but is it also applicable for limiting them when accessing a url?

Thread is " http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-table-947696/ "

You've talked about URL's but not one single thing about a webserver or anything else involved in serving this. you really can not use iptables to block URL's it's just utterly inappropriate. deal with this within the webserver or reverse proxy.
