Black Screen


I just installed opensuse 10.3 and it's just about to boot up , then it stops dead at a black screen with a little white dash at the top left... what the heck happened? Installation went well, and I downloaded all the updates. Someone please help me

It sounds like the bootloader (grub) may not be working properly. You should be able to reboot from the installation CD and check for an option to rescue/fix things, specifically the bootloader.
