bittorrets questions


hi everyone i grabbed 3 torrets to copy to cd for install they are sitting on my desktop now to burn them do i have to download them first than burn???? this is my first time using torrets so i have no clue. plz help. oh and all it said was torrets i dont know if same as bittorettes

do you have a torrent client installed? you usually download the torrent then open it with the client.

hey boxerguy,

excuse me if i understood it wrong . from what you said that you have 3 torrent files on your desktop .. meaning those files have a ".torrent" extension.

so to burn the files you first have to download the files of the net ,. the torrent file you have are just like a link to those files .

"you need to actually get the files on your computer b4 u can burn them"

to get the files you would use a prog like azureus, bitcommet, bitttornado .

On suse i have had luck with azureus only . i like bitcommet but i could not set it up on suse.

This is could serve as a starting point for you

breezy has gnome torrent and i figured as much so i started downloading one of them but i have dsl and still at around 24k/s i was hopping since they are there that i didnt have to download them and since they are cd im gonn use k3b just set it to burn as cd and poof thats it?
and im also assuming since there were 3 i need all 3?

are you behind a router? You have to open the port to get better download speeds with bit torrent i think
