There are various BitTorrent clients you can use under Linux. Does openSUSE's package manager tell you which ones are available? What have you downloaded and tried to install?

I think it was 6.12/6.12 and under Linux tab 5 something

Yes. Three methods: 1) use Yast software management as suggested by Nylex, 2) use zypper from the command line: zypper install bittorrent, 3) go to http://software.opensuse.org/search, look for bittorrent and click on the "1-click install" button then follow instructions.

I'm afraid this made no sense whatsoever to me. Before doing anything else, again, use the package management system.

Repositories...

BitTorrent should be available as a package to install if you have openSUSE OSS as a repository in your installation.

There are of course more.
