Bittorrent Client for Linux Lupus (Acer One)
Hi
I am a Newbie to the world of Linux. I've had a quick hunt about for a bitorrent client that will run on my little acer one (running linux lupus). I used both Azureus and uTorrent with my Windows machine and I preferred the later as it seemed to d/l quicker. Can anyone recommend a client that will run on my new notebook? Also, any other Linux tips (e.g. useful apps, best bits about linux), to help me 'get up to speed' would be gratefully received. Thanks Oggyb :newbie: |
I personally use Transmission. I've never used Linpus (not lupus) linux before, but from what I've read it is Fedora-based, so you should be able to find a RPM of Transmission. I'm not sure if your distro has any software repositories or not...

If you’re looking for torrent clients, you can also check out: Qtorrent and Rtorrent. The later being a command line torrent client.
When looking for software I believe your best starting points are http://sourceforge.net a huge website with software divided in categories. http://freshmeat.net a similar website to sourceforge. Kind regards, |
Azureus is available for Linux.
