How do i access the BIOS when booting up linux ?

Accessing the BIOS is controlled by the hardware, not the operating system. On my hardware I access the BIOS by hitting the delete key early in the boot process. Your machine will probably do something similar.

kinda' the wrong question to ask. bios's are not operating system dependant. ideally you would access the bios screen before any operating system starts.

every pc maker and every motherboard manufacturer has there own key sequence to access it during booting up. right after you press the power button look quickly for a line about like "hit del to go to menu screen..." or something.

maybe you can get more help by providing the pc/ motherboard/ bios type ?
