binutils & nvidia drivers

I was installing my nvidia drivers today(the way im supposed to of coarse) and it was working fine, all up until the first 5 seconds. Where i said something about 'ld' and that i needed to have binutils installed. I searched on google for binutils and got zero hits. Also i went to linuxpackages.net or whatever and got zero hits. Anybody know where to get binutils? (i dont have my mandrake 9.1 cd(friend let me borrow it, so i cant install from there) )

look thru this FTP page, you have to scroll down some but current binutils RPM for Drake is there........
