Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

Im major noob and i have a big problem. I was about to install mandrake 9.2 and the install frooze up before it even started installing. I turned off computer and now cd is stuck in drive. i got in to bios in hope to log in to windows and did but wiundows would not fully boot up. So only way i can access the cd rom is by msdos. I do not wish to move any futher with out help. I was thinking about format but i do not see how or why it would release that cd. so pleaseif anyone know how to unmount this drive using msdos let me know.
there should be a small hole on the front of the CDROM
this an emergency eject
unbend a paperclip and put it in there.. push.. the tray will pop open just enough for you to get your fingers behind the front and pull it out
