Best Supported Video Card

I'm currently running Fedora 10 on a Suttle (a small form factor PC). The motherboard is a FN41V3, which uses an nVidia chipset (nForce2 IGP N.B. and nVidia MCP-T S.B.).

The problem is that the motherboard chipset is not well supported with Fedora 10, leaving me with klunky video performance.

So, I could find & install a video driver that works, switch to another distro that does support it, or add a video card that is well supported. I think that adding a supported video card is probably the easiest thing for me to do.

My two questions are:
1. Will Ubuntu work with my chipset?
2. What are the well supported video cards for Fedora?

Fedora (itself) does not contain any propriety parts. So whatever graphics card you used will only use open source drivers. However, there are repos that supply these drivers. Rpmfusion, Atrpms, Rpmforge are a few. It is highly advisable NOT to use more than one of these third party repos. All sorts of conflicts can arise if one mixes these repos. I do not think either of the chipsets you listed are the graphics chipsets. Generally nvidia graphics chipsets are geforce something.
