best RSS reader for gnome?

looking for suggestions on an RSS reader which works under gnome, which is easy to use and has a nice GUI.

is there something like the graphical rss readers on andriod (which also show an image from the feed), like the android app "pulse"?

TIA

Well, I use thunderbird for both email and RSS, and it works very nicely IMO. However, if you only wanted the RSS features it might be a bit of overkill...

Pass. Don't know pulse.

Have you had a look at 'liferea'? Last time I looked, it was very similar to akregator, minus a few less important features, and akregator is/was nice, but largely kde orientated.

As an user of the Opera browser, I use Opera's built-in RSS reader.

It works really well and it's right there in the browser so I don't need to have two applications running to follow links. I currently have over 200 feeds in it.
