Best Linux For Acer Travelmate 525tx

Hi :D
I'm new at linux, and i'm portuguese, so if there is any incorrection in my text i'm sorry.

So I have this computer, ACER TRAVELMATE 525TX, and I don't know what is the best linux for this computer.
I'd really appreciate if someone could help me out here.
I don't really know how to install it properly, too, so if you could help me with that too it would be awesome.

Thank you :D

For the best help you need to post the specs of the computer. Also, maybe what you want to use it for.

Hi: xicoazm, Welcome to Linux Questions.

All you would need to do is download Linux and burn it to a CD or DVD.

Before you download you will need to know if your laptop is 32-bit architecture or 64-bit architecture.
Choosing the correct .iso file is essential and checking the integrity of the .iso file is a must.

We need the specifications about your Acer in order to recommend a distribution.

Is your Acer Travel Mate the one that came with Windows ME?
Is this it?

Found this info on searching => Acer TravelMate 525TX Pentium III 700 MHz 128 MB 10 GB

Your best bet is to use a distro designed for older computers.

You should be able to access pendrives via the filemanager by clicking on it to have it mounted, don't forget to unmount it when you are done, before removing it.

(You can also mount them via the terminal using sudo mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt or similar depending on where it is & where you want to mount it.)

Regarding wifi, I use Antix 13.2 & ceni run in a terminal, but most people use wicd from the menu. If you are using MX14, there should be an option in the menu.
