Howdy. I've been using LRP (linux router project, http://www.linuxrouter.org) for a while now to route my cable connection, and I was just curious as to what else was out there. Basically I'm looking for a mini-distribution that preferably fits on floppy, that is intended to work as a router. LRP is a little complicated to setup, and some of the modules died on me (DHCP and DNS). I tried another one (www.freesco.org), and it's pretty cool, but doesn't seem to have good support, and requires a reboot everytime you make a change.

So anyways, anybody used or heard of any other options?

Thanks!
Justin

There's a nice single-floppy disto: freesco
http://www.freesco.org
And there are many more.

Yeah :) I mentioned that one. Freesco was OK, but the security doesn't seem to be that great, and the port forwarding and dyndns client didn't work properly. I do like the menu interface a lot better than LRP though.

So what other ones are there?

I've heard good things about SmoothWall, although I have never actually used it.
