Below Noob: how to install bittorrent

Hello Linux community

I dared to install suse 10.0 which was easy, as it was said to be.
But as soon as I was trying to download some torrent files, I was confronted with a strange problem: How the heck can I install my bittorrent client under linux. I mean, I was clever enough, to take the .tar files. And I even unzipped them into a new folder. But this is where my Windowswisdom ended. I faced lots of strange data formats of which none looked like an executable one. Then I thought, maybe I'd have to run it from the console, but how?

Now the thing is, for I dont have any clue at all, I don't even have an error message or something like this. I just don't know what to do with the .tar stuff I donwloaded from bittorrent.com

So tanks for ur help in advance, cheers Gwodomorr

Thanks for the links. I think I'll go along with azareus for the moment. Still this "installation - problem" is not yet solved. I'm wondering if you can install programs with linux in the first place. I mean just like installing a package from the distribution. So that u can access it from the gnome-menu. I'm sure this is what u consider to be a noob question but for the title of my thread covers this, I feel fine.

thx Gwodomorr
