-bash: GET: command not found under telnet

I enter following commands:

Code:
telnet www.mycompany.com:80
GET / HTTP/1.0
[return]
Later I got
Code:
-bash: GET: command not found
Someone knows why?

You should use a space between the host and the port:
Code:
telnet www.mycompany.com 80
Regards
