Bash font size

Hello all,

I changed the terminal background and when I went back to the bash shell (CTRL+SHIFT+F6) the fonts had changed to a massive size.

How did that change occur and can I change the fonts to their normal font size?

Which distribution are you using?

In Ubuntu 10.04, in a terminal window, you click Edit->Profile Preferences->Check/Uncheck "Use system fixed width font". That should fix it.

Hi schachwizard,

I'm using Linux Mint. That changes the font of the Terminal but not the actual console (I think that's what the full-screen is called - when you press CTRL+ALT+F1 to F6).

Note that the font size is chosen by your terminal app, and has nothing to do with bash.
