banner message to ftp user


hello,

I am using RHL9.0 (vsftpd service) on my server
1)pl tell me how to put message for an user while login as ftp user
2)How to set time out (ideal) for ftp user

open uR knowledge for someone

You can edit your vsftpd.conf and either change the "ftpd_banner" option to a message you like, or use the "banner_file" option to point to a file that contains a welcome message.
As for the timeout check the manpage of vsftpd.conf to see what timeout you want to change and how to do it.
