bag of questions

Hi all,

I just installed Suse 6.1 for the first time.
I have a couple of questions.

1) how do i start the netscape browser, i tryed with 'netscape', but i get an error : can't open display.

2) how do i change the keyboard layout to Belgium ?
3) is it possible to mount a FAT32 drive ?

thanks all

I don't know what to tell you on your first question. I use RH9 and Mozilla--not a big fan of netscape.

Keyboard layout should be in Prefrences if you're using X. Try the menu, prefrences, and find it in there.

As far as mounting a FAT32 drive is concerned, yes, it is possible. Youv'e got to use the 'mount' command to 'mount' the filesystem.

check out the man pages (man mount) for more info but also give a shot at this:

mkdir /mnt/windows
mount /dev/hda(x) /mnt/windows

you'll have to substitute x for the location of your windows partition. I had two windows partitions on a previous installation & they were /hda1 & /hda5.

You may have to specify the filesystem type as well in that mount command. Again, check out the man pages for 'mount'
