bad problem opening a bin file.

hi

i,m trying to set up a gaming server for the community i,m a part of.ive decided to swop over to linux for a more stable system but i could do with some help.

i download the file hlds_l_1120_full.bin.(the full server file).

i follow install readme,

chmod +x hlds_l_1120_full.bin <enter>
./hlds_l_1120_full.bin <enter>

the copyright text scrolls down to the ,,enter to except,, at the bottom but when i hit enter nothing happens.and the file stays as a full.bin also.

when i type ...df -h..at the command line i see the hard drive (20G) is now 89% used.but the file is only 440M .
it,s a fresh install of suse9.1 and the ..df -h..command was showing about 5% used before i executed the command.

ive downloaded the file from 2 different sites today incase it was a file error and had the same problem twice.

any ideas.

also, does this mean i need to reinstall again to empty my partitions.
