bad mistake

Aight, i'm stalling rh9 on a system and after the install it goes for the reboot but instead of allowing the system a clean reboot, i entered my BIOS to change my boot setup which reset the system when i'm done so I didn't get to enter the final setup including the user account setup. Is there any way to get back to that point without re-installing Linux? If there is, what would the default login and default password be? Thanks in advance for any help.

did you set up a root password?

if so the username will be

root

and the password wil be

<the password you entered during the install>

You might get away with doing a very minimum install, keeping your existing partitions. This will allow you to install GRUB normally, and *may* allow you to specify the root password etc.

See the 'P.S.' at the end of this post, and the posts that follow:

How exactly did you get into BIOS during the install procedure anyway?

it works now, thanks for all the tips. i got into the bios during the reboot which occurs just after the install and just before the setup options and by modifying it i forced another reboot, clearing something which was going to toggle the setup.
