backup error


hi.....when iam opening my dec_backup folder the folling error is appering please help me:

the error is gzip :stdin:input /output error
/bin /gstar :unexpected EOF in archive
/bin /gstar: error is not recoverable :exesting now

Well, it sounds like you're trying to unzip an archive, not open a folder... I assume (from the fact you've got errors) that you're using the terminal, and (from the errors) that you're using a programme called 'gstar'. Is it definitely a gzipped file? If so, you could try "tar -zxf <file>", or "tar -jxf <file>" for a bzip2 file.
