but when i want to connect to a network backtrack5 found any wirless network... so i would like to know how to fix that thanks for help a newbie in advance
By the way, "no reply" threads receive an automatic bump on LQ. Bumping your own thread takes it out of the "zero reply" state and may reduce its visibility.
did you allow the wirless card through VMware??I have never used VMware but I have used virtualbox and you have to set it to allow the device from the host OS to VMware OS for it to work hope this helps if not let me know and I will have a look cant right now at wrk lol

Try
$ lsusb
and find out exactly which USB wireless adapter you have. You probably have to load the module, or if your guest is Windows, you need a driver. OR, maybe you have to connect the device to the guest.
