Backtrack 5 graphics driver issue-"Monitor Unknown"

I have installed backtrack 5 rc3 in my samsung np300e5x-a08in laptop. When i tried to enable compiz , it gave an error message "desktop effects can not be enabled ". And when i checked for monitor it was displaying "unknown". I looked for xorg.conf file in /etc/X11 folder but it wasnt there.
Although it takes resolution of 1366*768
I am having intel graphics HD4000.

Also when ever i try to kill xserver by alt backspace or use alt+f1 it hangs giving a black screen.
I guess its a graphics driver issue, somebody please help!!
